Entrepreneurship..

Entrepreneurship is the practice of starting new organizations or revitalizing mature organizations, particularly new businesses generally in response to identified opportunities.   

   

        ...an entrepreneur is the one who owns or manages a business. I know, being an entrepreneur is not easy but if someone has an interest to learn more about this, I know that he/she will be a good entrepreneur someday.
       When our teacher in TLE, Mrs. Catherine Ramos gave us some PEC's questionnaire, it is all about the 10 PEC's characteristics. But I don't know what are the meaning of each. So, I tried to understand all of it in order for me to answer it based on my understanding. And I also dreaming of being an entrepreneur someday to have an experience on how to manage a business and to stand on my own..

       Entrepreneurship was divided into three clusters namely: Achievement cluster, Planning cluster and Power cluster.

   

       Achievement cluster 

                 - the one who is needed by the entrepreneurs in order for them to have a job well done.

1. Opportunity- seeking- an entrepreneur sees and acts on new business opportunities.
2. Persistence- an entrepreneur does not gives up easily even if something is very difficult to do.
3. Commitment to the work contract-an entrepreneur needs to have a commitment to the work that he/she has agreed to do.
4. Risk- taking-an entrepreneur states a presence for situations that involve moderate risk.
5. Demand for quality and efficiency- an entrepreneur needs to have a high standard performance because he/she is not satisfied with mediocre work.

Planning cluster

                 - the one who is needed by the entrepreneurs in order for them to have a good plan and basis to have a successful work.

1. Goal- setting- an entrepreneur sets clear and specific short- and- long term objectives.
2. Information- seeking- an entrepreneur seek information especially to the experts to have more improvements on their work.  
3. Systematic Planning and Monitoring- an entrepreneur needs to plan and monitor his/her activities and performance to see if there is something development or progress.

        Power cluster

          - the one who is needed by the entrepreneurs in order for them to achieve what they want to do.

1. Persuasion and Networking- an entrepreneur uses deliberate strategies to accomplish his/her business.
2.   Self- confidence- an entrepreneur strongly believes on his/herself even if there are so many challenges to overcome, he/she believes that he can do it.

Characteristics of an Entrepreneur

-          Desire for responsibility

-          High energy level

-          Courage

-          Well- defined values

-          Desire for immediate feedback

-          Strong desire to achieve

            So now, I already understand what is all about Entrepreneurship. And I hope that I will also be a good and successful entrepreneur someday..
